If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, how many pickled peppers did Peter Piper Pick?
I don't know, because 1. the tongue twister does not specify whether it's a US peck or an imperial peck and 2. it doesn't make sense to pick peppers after pickling them - one would think that it'd be nearly impossible unless the peppers were picked first and then pickled second. If the peppers were pickled afterward, the pickling process would cause the peppers to shrink, making their volume smaller, so were there a peck of them prior to pickling or after pickling?

Maybe he picked the pickled peppers out of the crock they were pickled in and so it would be a peck of the finished product. And I agree it is a 'bit of a pickle'! But one thing is for sure! (sorry to say it out loud, but...) In this case SIZE DOES MATTER!!
