  • You have to cross traffic illegally to do it and when you pull out you are crossing illegally

What traffic, traffic is the movement of vehicles, ships, persons, etc., in an area, along a street, through an air lane, over a water route, etc.: I don't think that there's any vehicle movements in a residential street.

Don't be ridiculous! YOUR vehicle constitutes traffic, and even if no other vehicles are present the traffic lane still exists! And it is not designed as your lane! You asked a question I gave the legal reason why it's illegal and arguing with me is as effective as arguing with the cop that will write you the ticket! You can argue all you want it's not going to change the law or get you out of the ticket! Peace out.

But traffic is the movement of vehicles, ships, persons, etc., in an area, along a street, through an air lane, over a water route, etc.: According to this definition other vehicles have to be present in order for a traffic lane to exist
