12-05-2016 A duet is two. You have 12 choices for the first member, but the number of choices for the second member is not 11 because you can't choose anybody a second time. So you can't just multiply 12x11. You choose a first member and that is good for eleven duets. Then you choose another first member and that is good for ten duets. 11+10+9+8+7+etc = 66
