I dont like him, and I dont like his music.

I like most of Micheal Jackson's music, but I think he's a little strange. I don't hate him, because I don't believe in hate.

Great in the 80's, Thriller, Bad, Beat it, Billie Jean all amazing.... everything after though was realy weak. Then he wen't crazy and I realy stopped liking him.

I liked him when he was black. This isn't a racial thing, just a way for me to timeline it.

Years ago I liked his songs, especially with the Jackson 5. Now I can't listen to any of his songs without feeling sick in the stomach.

He was a very very talented man now I'm not sure what he has become. I like his songs. They are catchy, and I have nothing against him. Only thing wrong with him is that he looks like a total mutant. I'm not so sure if he's raping kids these days or not.

I'm not much for MJ, but recently I accused a resident (in assisted living, where I work) of doing an impersonation--she was walking around wearing the one exam glove all day. She got a great kick out of it when I pointed this out!

I think that Michael Jackson was a very handsome young man who for some reason wanted to look like a white woman. He's manipulative and dishonest with his fans and the media (just like his sister is) so I don't like him for that. No one can say Thriller isn't a great album though and that he doesn't have talent. I guess I just basically feel apathetic about him now.

Love to hate him. To have had everything, and suddenly find himself in the position he's in now. He obviously has many unresolved problems yet to be dealt with.

Michael's musical career up to Thriller..AWESOME. In my opinion OFF THE WALL was his best album. Michael after Thriller, can't say he did much that really was significant to me. Just imagine the artist he could have been, and the music he could have created if Mike would have stayed black and not turned into some weird plastic thing.

I've never been a fan of him or his music, not the style of music I listen to. I just ignored his music. The more I learn about him, I feel sad because he was manipulated by family and hanger-ons. He never had a normal childhood. His father beat him and humiliated him. He was a cash cow for the entire family.

Love him. I think he was a extremely talented individual. His sins were that he was sensitive, naive and child-like and this was taken advantage of by gold-diggers... and lets face it McCauly Caulkin was never straight anyway.

I believe every major event in life... was meant to be. No matter who it was that was used as the catalyist to carry them out. THe universe uses people indescriminately without personal opinion or preference. WHoever can step up and do the job, get's the job... But the job just existed anyway. Had Michael Jackson never been born... There would have been another King of Pop. People like to believe that because THEY want to feel special and unique through their preferences and opinions.... that the things they like are somehow special as well. Believe me... If you never existed. Another you would have. There is nothing special or corrupt about anyone. We all posses the potentality and possibility for everything that everyone else does. THe fact that he did what he did... Negated everything good he ever did by his own choices as a result of being afforded an incredible oppurtunity. I disrespect him for having the life he did, and debasing it HIMSELF... No matter what i do or dont think about it. Our choices define us... Not much else. Not to mention you don't believe that there were at least 50 other nameless faceless drones directly responsable for his success as a musician? He grabbed his crotch... danced a little and sang a bit. That doesn't justify the whole peter pan thing.

I'm not completely sure how I feel about him and his controversial life, but his music and incredible dance moves will forever live on in my and the world's hearts.

I have hated him since I was about 20. I liked him when he was still; Cute, black, still talented and before he became a pervert.

i didn't know him to love or hate him. I loved his music growing up, but that got progressively suckier. If the allegations were true (and i am inclined to lean towards him having done at least some of what he was accused of), I can't imagine liking him if i did know him. His musical legacy is solid, but Michael is a prime example of how little we know the people we collectively idolize.

I don't love him or hate him. He had a traumatic childhood, he had severe issues. I've never believed all of the hype, or all of the bad press. I've never taken that much of an interest. His music was never really my type. But. He was talented. And he lived an amazing life. And it's sad he's dead. It's sad that nobody'll get to see his comeback. And it's sad that his diehard fans will be so devastated. So yes, upsetting times. He's Michael Jackson. It's weird. I feel weird about it all. Hard to believe.

Meh, I'm kind of indifferent. Despite what he did or didn't do, I wished no harm upon him. I am kind of enjoying the Micheal Jackson jokes that are following though. When a friend of mine first heard that he was dead, without missing a beat said "Ehhh, at least he's off the streets and my kids are safe." I thought that was pretty funny......Cause....You know.....He molested those kids.
