  • God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth for a very important reason. Man sinned against God in the Garden of Eden. When the LORD made man and woman, God told Adam and Eve that they could eat of any tree or any fruit in the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He told them that if they ate of it or touched it, the day they ate it or even touched it, they would die. (please see Genesis 2:17) And you probably know the story. Satan (the serpent) tricked them into eating it and they sinned against a holy God, JEHOVAH, their Creator, the Creator of all things. Death was brought upon them and all of their children (us). However, notice that they did not physically die that day, but years later. So, God was talking about a different death than physical death when He said that the day they touched or ate of the fruit they would die. The day that Adam and Eve ate of the fruit, they spiritually died, meaning that they were seperated from God, and were doomed to someday die physically as well. Since then, a death sentence, physical and spiritual, has been put on humanity. Physical death is the seperation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the seperation of the soul from God. There is a place that God created for the devil and his angels called the lake of fire. All who have rebelled against God (that would be all of us) and are sinners (please see Romans 3:23) will die physically and then die spiritually (the second death) in the lake of fire, forever seperated from God in torments. However, God provided the way for us to be saved from this awful and eternal fate that we must pay for our sins. The Bible says that without shedding of blood is no remission. (please see Hebrews 9:22) Either we paid for our sins by death, (please see Romans 6:23) or someone without sin would have their blood shed in our place. In the Old Testament, animals were sacrifaced to God and their sinless blood would temporarily cover our sins, but only for a year. Then, they would have to sacriface again and again. Animal blood did not take care of the sin problem that seperated us from the holy God. So God the Father sent the Messiah, His perfect Son Jesus Christ, to this world. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, so He didn't inheret the original sin. His birth was a miricale of the Holy Ghost. He was God Incarnate. Jesus lived a sinless life and He became the Lamb of God sacrifaced for our sins. He was nailed to an old rugged cross and bled and died in our place. He not only experienced physical death, but also suffered and experienced the agony of what spiritual death is when He was seperated from the Father. (Please see Mark 15:34) So, Christ experienced hell on the cross. After His death, He was buried. Three days later, He rose from the dead. Before He ascended to heaven, He gave His disciples the Great Commission. (please see Matthew 28:18-20) He ascended to heaven and He is coming back soon to judge the quick and the dead. This is why He came to earth was to bring mankind back to God and save mankind from the wages of sin, death. Those who accept Him as their Lord and Saviour are protected by His blood and their sins are washed away. Those who reject Him are condemned and damned for eternity unless they repent and get saved. (please see 1 John 5:12) Those that die in their sins will be cast in the lake of fire forever, which is the second death, eternal seperation from God. The only way to escape this is to be born again. We are naturally born in sin due to Adam and Eve's rebellion, so we must have a new birth, a spiritual birth. (please see John Ch.3) This birth takes place whenever you are presented withe the Word of God and the Holy Spirit convicts you of your sin and you realize you are a lost sinner and you need a Saviour. Once this takes place, if you accept Christ into your heart as your Lord and Saviour, the Bible says that you are saved. (Please see Romans Ch.10 verses 9-13) This is the purpose that God sent His Son Jesus into the world was to save that which was lost, us, Adam's helpless race. God is so good! I hope that this is helpful. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
  • There are some fundamental assumptions in the question which need examining. Did Jesus really come to minister to mankind? Let’s read what the Master himself declared in Matthew 15:24 "I am not SENT but UNTO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL" and his command to the disciples was “GO NOT into the way of the Gentiles” Matthew 10:5. So we see his mission was to the Jews. Moreover he DID NOT convert a single Gentile to his message at any point in his life. What kind of mission was he on? He wanted to put true love for God in the hearts of the Jews who had drifted away from the spirit of the law and started being devious with the letter of the law. If he could make them be driven by true love of God then they'd be prepared to go through any hardship for His sake. Here are just a few examples of how tough he wanted his followers to be: To the man who had already kept the commandments FROM HIS YOUTH Jesus said. “If thou wilt be perfect, go and SELL that thou hast, and GIVE to the poor, … and come and FOLLOW ME” Matthew 19:16. The OT forbade the ACT of adultery. “But I say unto you, That whosoever LOOKETH on a woman to lust after her HATH COMMITTED ADULTERY with her already in his heart” he declared in Matthew 5:28. In Mark 9:43 he stated “if thy hand offend thee, CUT IT OFF: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched”
  • (1Co 15:21) For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (1Co 15:22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
  • We must start from the beginning... God created Adam and Eve to be perfect, but he told them that they must not eat from the tree of knowledge good and evil-- they ate it anyway. Because of this, God told them that they would die, and they did. Adam's sin seperated all mankind from God. Every man born from Adam is born with a sin nature. So we have a problem... because of our sin, we are all giulty before God and deserving of hell. HOWEVER, God loves us and he did not want that to happen to the people that he created. But he must punish sin because alsong with being loving, he is also holy and just. SO he sent his son jesus christ to pay the penalty for our sin. In order to do that, he had to live a perfect life (in our place) and die (pay the punishment for sin) in our place. See, if you do not sin, you do not die. JUST AS WE ALL FELL THROUGH ONE MAN (ADAM) WE CAN ALL BE SAVED THROUGH ONE MAN (JESUS). All we must do is believe that this happened, and repent (turn from) our sin. ... other christians can help you from there.

  • Today, you can walk into any bookstore, library or go on line and see any many books written by numerous men and women with one purpose in mind ... to help people lose weight. It is an important concern to modern consumers. In the time of Jesus, people relied on their understanding of God's will for answers to many important questions. At the time Jesus came into the picture, established religious leaders were subjected to the rule of a foreign power, Rome, and had lost credibility with many who were suffering under Roman rule. In this situation there were many who came forward to offer their ideas of how to come back into God's favor. Jesus was one of these.
  • I believe the bible was altered by the Roman Catholic church, to better serve political agendas. So we can't take the bible litterally. There are so many things left out that needed to be there. Like where was Jesus between ages 13-30? If he knew he would be dead at age 33 (which he did), Why would he be teaching at 12 yrs old and then we see nothing else until age 30? Some would have us believe that he did nothing during those yrs to fullfill his mission. I don't believe that. I think he was out teaching but the things taught were not what the church waants us to know. He came here to teach us what we are here for and able to do. Yes that means miracles. He came here as a man. Not in his spirit form. He came as a man. For the reason of being an example for us to be like him. Remember when he said "you can do these things and more"? Speaking of his miracles. He was saying you can move mountains too. (figure of speech) you can heal, you can make water into wine etc... He did not come here to show off etherical powers. He was showing us our abilities. The Church got rid of these teachings at the counsel of Nicea. Why? Because the church and government were hand in hand. Unseperated. Government wrote our bible. Government did not want us to believe we are powerful beautiful beings. Can you imagine where we'd be right now if Jesus' teachings were left untouched? No one could be held behind bars. People would be creating money out of paper. There would be no use for money. In all no use for government.

  • 2-19-2017 John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Jesus was a Jew speaking to Jews. All God's commandments were intended to give Jews a good life. Most people never read the scriptures for themselves, so the message was either lost or badly twisted by religious crackpots, about like it is today. The part about Jesus being the savior from sin was not emphasized until it was too late to stop it.
  • The Book of John helped me. This book educated me on what Christ went through before he died. He was the Ransom paid for each one of our lives. Especially does chapter 20 has had an affect on me. That chapter is summed up in Matt. 20:28 "Just as the Son of man came, not to be waited on by others, but to help and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many. This is where I will be on April 11, 2017, to show respect for what he gave up that night for me. https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/memorial/

  • Jesus' mission on Earth was to save that which was lost. Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
