  • Maybe the meat isn't very good, and there's not much you can do with a penguin, unlike bears, fish and whatnot. Which IS slightly odd, since Inuits learned to make use of anything they found or killed, and used it to its fullest in order to survive the harsh environment in which they lived. Even if it was nothing at all, they still made use of it. However today, Inuits fare a hell of a lot better than say 100 years ago and before that, so they probably don't need to hunt ALL the time, and when they do, they can afford to be pickier, so a penguin would totally be last resort. Another reason may be that penguins are hard to get to, but then, Inuits used to kill whales with nothing but harpoons-and they didn't have boats. So I'm guessing that penguin meat is no good, and so it's not worth killing. Much like Indians, the Inuit culture is steeped in the utmost respect for nature, so they won't, or wouldn't have in the past, ran around killing random wildlife just for shits and giggles. Although, mind you, while it seems unheard of, I have no idea if Inuits hunt, or ever have hunted, penguins.
  • because penguins are adorable!
  • Cause they watched the movie "Happy Feet" and realized penguins could dance, :O)
  • too little and there's no gain behind killing a tiny defensless penguin, where as a baby seal (no offense) you atleast get the blubber
  • Eskimo or Inhuit people live in the far north, in greenland, north america, and siberia. Penguins, all species, are limited to the southern hemisphere on the polar opposite side of the earth.
  • Penguins don't live in the Arctic, and Eskimos don't live in the Antarctic.
  • Because they can't get the wrappers off with those thick mittens! (Penguin is a chocolate bar in the UK)
  • Perchance because 12,500 miles is a loooooooooooong way to travel just to hunt penguins at the South Pole? :):):)
