  • Try this MsV! Use rubbing alcohol on marble surfaces. If the hair dye has stained a marble fixture in your bathroom, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to remove the stain. Rubbing alcohol can also be used on tile flooring. +5
  • The wear layer of linoleum is made of PVC. be careful using solvents. Do so by testing a small area in an un-noticeable place or on a remanent piece. Dyes generally are dyes since they penetrate. some dyes will chnage color when an oxidizer like bleach is used since the color change more that 50% of the times goes clear. But that is dye dependent. Solvents like alcohols will not hurt the PVC but might get some of the dye... but solvents like MEK and THF will dissole the PVC THF more so that MEK. MEK is used as a PVC pipe joint cleaner and comes in small cans in hardware stores by the PVC fittings. Test this with mild force when wiping and if the test pice looses gloss see if a floor wax brings back the gloss. Another idea... talk to the ladies at the beauty shop since I'm sure they have spilled some from time to time on a vinyl floor.... best of luck
  • Use a Mr Clean magic sponge, that's what I use. It DOES take off a tiny bit of color and shine, so be prepared for that, but it will take away most of the dye's color. I have these cool plastic knobs on my bathroom cabinet and got black, permanent hair dye on one of them just a few days ago. Used the Mr. Clean sponge for just a few swipes and it looks great now. Only I know that I messed with it, you know what I mean? Hope it works for you! Damn that hair dye it gets all over EVERYTHING, doesn't it?
