I worked as a babysitter when I was 12. I worked illegally in a green house when I was 13. My first REAL job was in a steakhouse when I was 16. +5

My first legal wage paying job was at twelve, but I had to take care of my brother since I was seven (single mother home) if that counts at all.

11. Cropping tobacco in the summer.

Started babysitting when 11; lied about my age and got a job working in the snack bar of a market when I was 14. Wanted my own money to buy what I wanted without anyone telling me what to do with it. Wish they'd made me save 10 percent of every check from the beginning.

13 ~ school holidays, working in retail department store. Legally had to be 15 to work in a shop, but my Mother was the sign-writer there, so .... Full-time I was 16 having finished High School, working in a Bank til for the next 8 years, then kiddies came along!
