While blood from someone else carries their DNA, and therefor you carry it "for them", blood is not permanent....the cells and other components break down and are recycled or disposed of by the body. Your own DNA, on the other hand, is constantly being replicated by your own body, unlike the 'introduced' DNA of a transfusion.
