My families. I know a fair bit for someone who has not done any real studying of American history, but my family history I know modst of it in intricate detail. Thousands of people, stories and a lot of booze. The way things should be taught

No, I have spent a great deal of time researching my family's history.
-
I know a lot about both.
-
I would say I know both about the same. I love to study about the History of our past, whether it be America, my Families, or any other country. I think studying the history of cultures, your Family, and your country, helps educate you. The reason why people should learn about the history is to not repeat ourselves, but unfortunately that does happen. I want to learn about my family especially to find out why I am so many different Ethnic groups.

I know nothing about American history, but I know my parents and I knew 2 of my 4 grandparents.

My family history. Which is rather disturbing, full of bizzare health conditions, and features a long history of alchoholism and mental illness. But it's certainly more interesting to study that American history.

It's probably pretty equal. I've always been a student of history and I am the gardener for our family tree.
