on the highway, people commit crimes all the time. chatting on their cell phones is a biggy. speeding. oh my. smoking pot and drinking beer while driving. what can one do....nothing. where is a cop when you need one.

Well the first thing after you call in your report the information is passed to the Police on duty via their radio. That includes your name and address and phone number. The bad guys have radios that pick up that kind of information. Immediately someone, somewhere knows everything, almost. When attempting to call something in myself I asked a lot of questions or I would be unaware of the procedure. For me that is too much information to be put out there in my opinion. I waited until the next day and reported at the station.
