  • Well my question to you is...do you play with it or pull on it alot? if so then yes it could pull itself all the way through or WORSE cause an infection. My advice to you is to get a different type of ring then a flat-back. Like a full circle or something along that lines.
  • Any skin trying to grow over the back of your lip ring is completely normal and common. It's called "pocketing". You can stop the process from continuing by popping the back out of the pocket regularly, in order to separate it from the skin once in a while, which will discourage any growth. I'm not sure if you are going through the same thing, so I would strongly suggest asking a professional.
