To the best of my knowledge the town I was born in is the only place on Earth you can find the exquisite taste of a Panzarata. What? Never heard of one you say? It is a freshly made pizza made from your choice of toppings, folded in half and then deep fried. OMG! they are to DIE for.

Bread!! I live in the city with by far the largest number of bakers in the country - it practically supplies the entire island. Every morning when I wake there's a smell of fresh bread EVERYWHERE, whichever direction the wind is blowing from. There's nothing like fresh bread, crackling hot from the oven round the corner, with butter and cheese, first thing in the morning.
