I think anything cell phone related is over-priced. It costs cell phone companies a fraction of a cent to send a text message. They are, after all, a few kilobytes maximum. They should not be 10 cents a message.

Diamonds often carry a 300% markup. (whatever the market will bear.) They are not a bulk price sale item. Also fresh produce can carry some very high markups. 100% to 200% is not unusual. This is one of the profit areas in a food store. Being a lover of fresh produce, I resent paying over a dollar for an apple worth 30 cents.

1). Houses 2). Cars 3). Cigarettes and Alcohol (even tho' I don't drink or smoke) Why can't houses be made that the average person can afford? Why can't a company make a good, dependable car for the average salaried family?
-
Housing in NH. It's no better than elsewhere but the cost is QUITE a bit higher than you'll pay elsewhere, at least outside of a major city where spae is at a premium.

A few days ago I went to a GM dealer and purchased a Chevy Malibu car antenna. It was just the metal rod , no cables or plugs. A piece of metal with a screw shape at the end....almost $50.00 dollars...I think that was overpriced!!!!

In a market economy prices are formed by supply and demand. If there is a product overpriced that means that in the market there is scarcity of that product. To avoid this situation incentives should be given to the producers to alleviate tke lack of basic products.
