Not me. Im not a holy roller either.
-
Yes
-
No, I am not. There is no benefit to atheism from my perspective.
-
nope i am pure god meat! (lol)
-
im not atheist. nor am i religious. i guess id just call myself spiritual.
-
No, Im not. I am a christian.
-
No I am not atheist but I am not a missionary either , I am a Christian who believes in freedom of choice
-
Yes. And I have no intention of preaching. What would my preach be? 'Uh, yeah, so I'm athiest, so I don't believe in religions... and stuff. So... yeah. Anyone like tacos?' It's hardly worthy of being called preaching, is it?
-
No pretty close though I'm agnostic
-
No, I am not.
-
My general opinion of people on their own is too low for me not to believe in some higher power.
-
Yes. Are you?
-
I'm somewhere between deist and agnostic. Christians are just too violent for me.
-
I prefer Agnostic.
-
Nope. I'm not really much of anything, if you put it that way.
-
no,but i love atheists, there thoughts a maze and even though im a christian sometimes i cant help but a agree with them, maybe my religion doesnt make sense but its all ive ever known,so i just go with it
-
Yep. Many might have picked up on this. But you know, I'm not an anti-Christian or anything, I just don't suscribe to that particular theory.
-
No. And I think people who try to preach and convert you are annoying. Especially people who come to your door telling you to go to their church. And people who say "if you don't believe in God then you're going to hell."
-
Yes, and I am proud.
-
Not in the least.
-
No. I am a Christian.
-
I used to be. Now I'm a Christian.
-
yep i sure am
-
I'm proud to say I am. "PREACH!" (Sorry, couldn't resist)
-
I believe in a God, not the one the masses believe in. Some say atheists are weak, as they have no faith and nothing to believe in. Other say I believe in god just to be safe! 8o`
-
Yes, and boy am I proud of it, I think I'll have a prea- Oh, I'm not allowed...
-
No. I'm what they call a Jewess, a rare sight in the DP.
-
No I'm not an atheist, but I don't prescribe to mainstream religion either.
-
Nope, I am pagan..and proud
-
I live in a Christian country. Was born and raised in a Christian family. It seems programmed into my genes at this point. I am too lazy to try and re-invent myself. So, YES, I am a Christian, just not professionally. The ability to consider other ideas and respect for others beliefs is not a privilege I am willing to sacrifice to doctrine. I know who I am and still curious about who you are.
-
Yep. Been around the block many times and have landed on both feet here. Just don't think that a religion matters at all. It is one's actions that define him/her...has nothing to do with a religion that one claims to belong to. Also don't care about impressing anyone. Wouldn't want to be known as a "good christian" or worse. Only want to be know by my actions.
-
yep. this is a test for points isn't it!!? that's a dirty trick!
-
I'm an atheist. I got here not by default but through studying religions. I think that the First Amendment's "Freedom of Religion" should include me, but until our Fearless Leader agrees I still think freedom of religion is a good thing. If I stated my reasons for thinking this then I would be preaching.
-
I believe in Universal Energies and Laws.
-
I am an atheist. But I also prefer people who have thoughts and feelings they are prepared to express and discuss on spiritual matters to those who don't.
-
No...and I'm not a preacher either.
-
No, I am not an atheist.
-
OH Yea! Atheist and proud of it. Live and let live, or love, or whatever. Came to it pretty much by about age 10. Came to terms with it by about 20 pretty much due to zealots always pushing! AHHH!! Felt better ever since! see... :~)
-
Yea, but each notification led back to my own last response here. Bizarre. I had to do that, but wow. Thanks. Changed the avatar, as I'm now dreaming about being out sailing, rather than stuck on these freezing temps.
-
No, I'm not an Atheist, but I respect everyone's right to formulate their own opinions. Contrary to preaching, I love to hear discussions from both sides and try to keep an open mind.
-
No,I am very proud to say that I am Christian. But, I don't understand, cactusbin, why you have to be judgemental with your snide remark of no preaching. From my experience on AB, the non religious people like to go to the Christian areas and leave nasty remarks, nasty jokes, but the 'judgemental' Christians do not spend their time on the Athiest areas down rating and such. Isn't it a shame that ya'll can not be a respectful to us in 'our' section?????? Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox for now. I'm glad no one has been preaching to you, or trying to force you to become something you don't want to be. God Bless, <:))))<>< PS: That is the way I always end my answers, I am not trying to shove anything down your throat nor am I going to change who I am.
-
I sure am. I don't preach to others so I can understand your request to not be preached at. I hate when people try to force thier views on me.
-
Nopee i'm a christian! :))
-
No I'm not. I've had my doubts though and been upset with God at times in my life for how things have turned out but I always find myself coming back to ask for His help.
-
No, I am not an atheist. I am a Christian. A Jesus freak Christian. I used to be an atheist when I was in school. That is the school I was in in 1992 not the school I'm in now. I had to go back. But, I digress.
-
Yep.
-
Nope, I'm Jewish.
-
I'm not. My family is half Catholic and they think I might as well be (atheist) because I'm not into organized religion.
-
Yessir!
-
yep
-
yes and proud of it
-
I believe in god.
-
No, I am not. I believe in and try to follow my Lord, Jesus Christ.
-
Yes.
-
I'm apatheist or Agnostic...whichever you prefer. I don't belive in god, but I can't definitivly say that there isn't a god.
-
Yip!
-
Yes. maybe more accurately agnostic. I believe in something higher but it is not God, and it is definately not any form or organization that involves money..
-
Yes, I am an atheist and always have been.
-
No. But only because it's an alternative to the theory of evolution, a concept which I don't fully accept.
-
No I am christian
-
No I'm not. For myself, the evidence for the existence of a Creator is rife. I find it impossible NOT to believe in a Creator when I witness His creation all around me. There must be a superior intelligence. NOT to believe it is the equivalent to me of seeing a great ship docked in the harbor, but feel that it just randomly appeared without any intelligence to create it. If that's true about a mere manipulation of elements, how can there not be a superior power that created those elements in the first place?; A much greater accomplishment,(since humans cannot duplicate that miracle, and as there is a great order in Nature,of which humans are the intellectual pinnacle), must logically be the result of a Supreme Mind. p.s. I'm not preaching. Notice I did not expound any particular Dogma.
-
yes.
-
no im not an athiest..im in fact a satanist..(and whatever churches and stuff tells u about satanism..its not true,if u wanna know why ask me.)
-
no im not an athiest..im in fact a satanist..(and whatever churches and stuff tells u about satanism..its not true,if u wanna know why ask me.)
-
Yes.
-
Yes. We don't preach, but it seems like most of us who post on the net enjoy a good debate if someone wants to step into the wrestling ring of logic with us.
-
Yes, I am
-
NO! NEVER!! How would they explain what started the Big Bang anyway? http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/35769

I believe in a force, similar to magnetism, that acts upon all things, whether it's people, fish, cattle, turnips or rocks. It is the force of LOVE. It acts upon us the same way that magnetism acts on metal shavings. It takes the metal shavings from their chaotic shape, and brings them to a higher level of love, compassion, intelligence, and a drive for a better existance. And yes, I am saying that the power of LOVE works on metal shavings, and upon the grains of sand in the sea. Because this is a force, unthinking, unknowing, unseeing, that can only become known to us, once it acts upon us, and through us. That is how Buddha, Christ, Mohammed came to be. They gave voice to the power that flowed through them.
-
I dunno. Ha, "Don't preach." No pun intended?
-
Yes. I am a true Atheist. I would not preach, but would be happy to elaborate on any reasons for my beliefs at any time if asked.
-
No..Actually I can't give any firm reason for this....It's one's wish
-
Yes i am. why because religion sucks.
-
I don't believe in a literal "god" or a "man upstairs", or any other dieties, but I DO believe in a Power that dwells within all of us equally. What "it" is exactly, no one really knows.
-
I...don't think I am...but sometimes I find it difficult to believe.
-
No I am not. First off this is such a complicated and personal subject that a simple yes or no doesn't quite do an answer justice. Secondly, I do respect others and the decisions they make regarding their faith or lack of faith. So I will not preach. All I can say intelligently without rambling on and on is that I have researched the subject of a particular religion extensively and I believe that there are more facts supporting then against. Others will disagree with my assessment which leads to long drawnout debates about who's scholars and their findings are more credible etc.... The debate can go on forever literally. At the end of the day a person has to be objective and sound in their reasoning and utimately take a stand for what they believe in.
-
Yes.
-
No. I believe in God. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic.
-
No. With all my heart, I believe in the Living God of heaven and earth.
-
Im atheist.. More so than I was in the past.. :( I wish there were more atheists though...

Of course. what else do you want to know?
-
Yes, I am. I've been an atheist for eighteen years now.
-
Yep and I am FREEEEEEEE!!!!!! :D
-
I am ,and proud of it
-
Yes, I am! I do not not believe in a deity! I live by my own code of ethics, and I do not need religionists, or a book that is 2000 years or more, telling me what to do, how to act, what I can or can not do sexually, providing a basis for bigotry, in that theist berate a segment of society , based soley on their sexual preference! I believe that as long as you obey the laws of the land, and do not harm others, especially a child, that you should be free to pursue life, liberty and happiness! And that is my atheist viewpoint!
-
Do not feel the need to preach anything, but Yes I am
-
No. Are you?
-
Spiritual pagan atheist.
-
No, I am not. But I do respect most athiests that I know because they do not treat my beliefs with contempt or me for having them. We do not discuss our differences and they have no effect on our various relationships. I don't try and "convert" them and they don't try to "unconvert" me. It's called mutual respect...they are great friends.
-
Born Baptist, raised Methodist and been backsliding all my life. Seriously though, I am absolutely an atheist.
