  • You never get any of it! That is a statement and and a half. Do you get up and put your clothes own every morning, do you go and put your feet under the dinner table at meal time, are you covered with a roof where you do not live out in the elements, have you been offered and education, medical care and have all your basic needs been seen to. You have gotten it allright and probably then some. Quit being a selfish little girl and work for what is rightfully yours and quit looking for a handout. The money is not yours and you will never see a dime of it unless you guardian sees fit to give you a dollar or two. Mr Bill
  • Mr. Bill is right on target. You do not have a clue what it costs to raise a child. What would you do with the money? Blow it on clothes, a new cellphone ro DVDs? Be thankful you have a mother that has taken care of you for these many years, And, quit whinning!
  • depending on where you live, your father may have to pay support to your mother until you're 21. i don't know your situation, but when i was growing up my father was supposed to pay my mom child support, ($20 a month for me and my sister, which he barely ever paid) but i felt that i never got anything for what he did pay. i moved in with my dad out of spite when i was 18. he actually wanted me to pay him $20 a week rent!! i realize now that my mom did the best she could between her pay (rn) and the little bit my dad did give her. you can't get the checks put in your name, but you could move in with your dad if you feel he will support you, or you could move out and get an apartment of your own and maybe your dad will help pay the rent. once you move out your dad can go to court and say you no longer live in your mothers home and he will not have to pay her support any longer. you have to decide, is it worth it?
  • If you just turned 18, I don't think your dad has to pay child support anymore.
