  • That was René Descartes, famous French philosopher and mathematicien. It basically means that by thinking it means he exists. One of my preferred French free thinkers of the Renaissance period.
  • I encountered that while I was studying French on my own at home. It means "I think, therefore, I am." Personally I believe it means that you will become the kind of person that you think you will become. For example, if you think that you're a failure, then you're a failure. If you think that you're successful, then you're successful. It's also like a "garbage in, garbage out" kind of thing.
  • Question #1 = some French dude. Question #2 = "Would you like some fries with that?" ;-)
  • Descartes. 'Cogito ergo sum' 'I think, therefore I am' meaning that if someone can wonder if they exist or not then they do exist.
