  • You know, all other historical information aside (which others have already posted anyway), here's an amazing coincidence: October is the 10th month in our calendar, right? Well, in the Octal numbering system (Base 8, which uses the numbers 0 through 7 as opposed to the decimal system which uses the numbers 0 thougth 9), eight would be written as "10" Things that make you say "hmmmmmmm..."
