Yes, if there is something going on with them that is sad or really really joyous. For some movies I will cry no matter how many times I see them.

Yes I am more likely to cry with animals in the movie instead of just people. But it depends what happens to the animal

No, what makes me cry (inside) is watching hidden video footages of animals inside the slaughter house. That is why I'm a vegetarian. I want to die with no guilty conscience and eyes comfortably closed.

More than if the same story were told about a human? YES--but I can't figure out how come! Do I care more about animals than people? Maybe it's because animals are more helpless in the sad events that may befall them in animal movie stories. Your human characters always have a choice, some control over their destiny.
