I just moved from st.louis LOL. It's kinda migratory, was downtown, esp near the old factories, and the old former steel/coal mill "communities" relics from the world war. Now that they've been cleaning up downtown, north county is starting to attain the "trash".

There are bad spots here and there, but it seems you hear the worst of the violence and crime in the near north side of the city.

Baden in North City is the worst by far. All of North St Louis is a dangerous war zone and never go up there, especially if you're white. Baden is close if not equivalent to a 3rd World Country.

There are clusters of "trash" here and there. But, the near north side of the city has been bad for ages. I don't live downtown, but I do live in Southwest city.

Well, every town has it's "bad" areas. But, I still love St. Louis...it's a great town. Maybe y'all just needed to explore the city a little more! *off to the St. Louis zoo this afternoon*
