Is there such a thing as a "gay accent"? This is not meant to offend anyone, but it seems like most gay men, have a more effeminate voice than straight men - Just a stereotype?

I know an Army Ranger who has the "Voice", i don't believe he is gay.

I certainly wouldn't say most gay men, but there are certainly some who have a more effeminate tone/manner of speaking.

Yeah sometimes folks sound effeminate, but you can't throw everyone in the same box. I worked with dudes that were gay I I did'nt know it until they said something about themselves, so....

Many gay men do appear to have a certain way of talking in common, although all gay men certainly don't talk that way. I believe it is a learned behavior since gay men from other cultures do not exhibit this.
