My friend is married with a child and she flirts with every one of her other friends husbands and boyfriends all the time. why would she do this? and what is she trying to achieve?

There could be a few different reasons--she could be very immature and not know what a marriage encompasses--she may not be getting validation from her husband as to her looks, sexuality, etc. which can make her feel as if he doesn't desire her; this could make her turn to other men to raise her self esteem. This is really not a safe game to play, many people could get hurt--she may find herself without a husband and without friends. Talk to her and help her see what she's doing. She may need to speak to a professional for help. Good luck
