-
3 days

7 days, no drugs of any kind.

7 days as well, no drugs. The no drugs part is what makes it special.

-
only 36-40 hours
-
all day yesterday..i was here on AB from 3:40am saturday..and didnt log off till 4:30am today. i must be an addict or something
-
8 days, but it was drug induced. I was not a pretty sight for the latter portion of it. I realized I had been up too long when I saw Saturday twice and hadn't had a wink of sleep. It didn't kill me, because I was only 19 and in good shape... but I did experience vivid hallucinations near the end. Even though I was still taking the drugs I passed out anyways... my body just quit. I don't recommend anyone else doing it. I was sore and weak for days afterwards.
-
only something like 50 hours.... no drugs in volved and i wouldn't do it again.
-
4 to 5 days. I was in the middle of what they call a "nervous breakdown." Had nothing to do with drugs, I was just severly overstressed. I couldn't sleep because I was so paranoid that something was going to get me. Anyway, it pretty much defined 2004 for me.
-
Without any sleep at all - about 36 hours... with only a couple short naps of 2 hours or less - 72 hours... and I was working the rest of the time I was awake too. I think when I finally crashed I slept for 18 hours with nothing but getting up to use the bathroom. :)
-
I think about 35 hours straight. No naps, no rest, nothing but awakeness. It was during the summer. During the summer, I stay up all night, talking on the computer, playing video games, and I go to sleep the next morning at 7. If I wanna go out the next day, I stay up the night before, and instead of going to sleep at 7, I would go to sleep at all. Then I would stay up until 2 the next morning, and fall asleep, then wake up during the day, then I get into a habbit of falling asleep during the night, waking up in the daytime, until I stay up for those 36 hours again. This was a really great summer.
-
About 30 hours - that was back in the day when I was much younger and could recover faster. I really don't think I could go much past 20 hours now. Insomnia seems to be the culprit these days.
-
Around 30 hours
-
Over 3 day's I lived in the 70's - if you get my drift - lol
-
about 60 hrs. i was really tired and i had insomnia. i crashed for hours. not sleeping for 72 hrs for most people causes hallucinating just as if you were on LSD.
-
3 days. I don't do any drugs, so I don't know how I did it!
-
many times 3 days. Was much younger and couldn't take a break from partying [not meth or ??]. Maybe once 4 days [70 -90 hrs]
-
3 1/2 days. it was during our senior trip. and what trip it was.
-
I have done about 45 straight, but I have gone with only a few hours a night for a week or so for homework. Its not too bad with 10 shots of expresso and a few tablespoons of Dry instant coffee.
-
52 hours...
-
3 jobs, first shift, second shift, third shift. One week I worked 4 days at all three plus a fifth day at one. I learned that I could fall asleep standing up, and continue to complete rote tasks. It doesn't count as sleep though, when your body just shuts down. I scheduled better after that, but continued to work three near full time jobs for eight more months. I have never been the same since. I went from requiring 6 hours of sleep at night to needing more than ten. And a mid-day nap.
-
long enough to think I saw things I didn't see. Don't have clue how long it had been. Does that say anything about my state of mind??
-
Seven days with no sleep at all. Wrote an entire computer manual. (Did the proofreading later). I wanted to go home and sleep after four days, but I was convinced that my feet were attached backwards. I also went two weeks with only a few 15-minute power naps. Alcohol withdrawl and severe depression. No fun at all. And after that is was months before I could get more than four hours of sleep a night.
-
Compared to the other answers, this is weak, but I once stayed up for about 17 hours. I'd been drinking all night long with my brother and sister, listening to music and whatnot. I was having a good time and sleep just wasn't an option.
-
36 hours and had a seizure afterwards.
-
I didn't sleep at all last weekend. My littlest son was in hospital with pnuemonia
-
3 days. After a loved one passed away. I was so tired, but just could not sleep. Terrible feeling.
-
almost two weeks.... honestly and no, I don't do drugs. I sometimes take meds(perscription, which I am "supposed" to take every night) to sleep. I am an "abnormal insomniac". Sometimes I stay awake for a long time and sometimes I sleep for days on end. I have been awake for 12 days straight. I have slept for 4 days straight. Both of these are truly awful, you don't want to try it, trust me!
-
Well Never very long, ONce it was just 27 hours, then i was out! i need my sleep !!! :*(
-
1 hour
-
That would be about 42 minutes.
-
That would be about 42 minutes.
-
At least three days when my son was born. I really felt like I could lose my mind.
-
5 days, I have never slept well.
-
4 days. almost exactly.
-
Roughly 74 hours. I can only give a rough estimate though because I kind of lost track of time towards the end.
-
I once stayed up for at least 5 or 6 days (I can't really remember, it is kindof a blur) no drugs, no coffee, no pills, nothing that would normally keep me awake. I was working liek 50 hour weeks at blockbuster when I was 17 (I was out of school by then, I had gotten my GED) and I had to try and force myself to go back to sleep. It was weird. Nice little fog around my head.
-
8 days. I was comming off of an anti-anxiety drug called xanax. I had the shakes, and I had auditory and visual hallucinations during withdrawal. It was sheer hell. I felt like I was never going to sleep again. I still have trouble with sleep. Those of you who fall asleep within 10 or 15 minutes, consider yourself blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
3 days when i was young but i struggle to do 20hrs without sleep now
-
Eh, bout three days. It looks like I'll be having another three day insomnia stretch too, because I have yet to go to bed.
-
2 days and nights. I used to work weekends, so when I went to parties I usually had to go straight to work in the morning when everyone else was falling asleep. I could just about cope with doing it one day in the weekend. Once though, I went all night then went to work, then went out the next night and stayed up again and then went striaght to work AGAIN the next day. (I got sent straight home as soon as I walked in the door on sunday, I must have reeked of alcohol and I probably looked a state. My boss was alright with me though, she knew what I was like. She just told me to go and get some sleep and come in tomorrow.)
-
5 days. I had a fit of prolonged paranoia, and various panic attacks. I was alone in my house. It was horrible.
-
A week -- I was on Conserta (longer-acting Ritalin, basically).
-

-
3 days and nights and I was not on drugs of any kind. Was busy in the day time and it just continued to be busy into the night I intended to sleep the third day but a friend had an emergency so I took care of it, by the time I slept I really slept
-
11 days and some odd hours. Then I was given a shot that put me out for a few days
-
Three and a half days...roughly. It helped that I have three sleeping disorders and was all out of sleeping pills.
-
Egad... I was shooting for 72hrs, but made it to 56 and passed out on my couch.
-
6 days. I started hallucinating and couldn't do basic math. Wow. It was right in the middle of finals at the end of a semester in college, and the theatre department was putting up a huge show and I had a very important position on the crew, and I was a single mother at the time...it just worked out so I didn't sleep for more than 120 hours in a row because there was so much to do. Somehow I passed my exams, but I don't remember them at all. I remember trying to add up some supplies out loud with a friend so we could figure out how much we still needed, and we had both been up the same amount of time and we ended up confusing the heck out of ourselves - and another friend who was well-rested stared at us in disbelief. By the last day, I was seeing things; at one point I swore I saw a little black demon running up some stairs and later that day I almost wrecked my car because I thought there was something on the road. I'll never stay up that long again.
-
I went about 2 and a half days while working as a red Cross volunteer during a natural disaster. I was 17 years old and was assigning 300 youth volunteers. I was young and stupid.
-
About five. I may have slept a couple of hours during this time, I just don't remember. I was manic.
-
Just under two -around 46 and a half hours. After the 30th hour it wasn't too difficult, but I don't think I should have driven quite so far as I did.
-
34hrs then i fell asleep for the next 1hr30min after that one more full day and then back to normal.
-
I have gone 30 hours (less or more) without sleep. After that I took a nap for 5 hours.
-
48 hrs but i was partying really hard at the time!
-
Just recently, it was 48+ hours. But it was totally worth it. My daughter had a beautiful baby girl.

2 nights in a row. First night I pulled an all-nighter with my friends, second was because I just couldn't sleep anymore, I still felt sick from the first night (I'd decided to have about 12 cans of Dr. Pepper within a few hours... not very smart...)
