Yes, but I would rather stop frivolous spending programs rather than raise taxes. Just like we have to do @ home: when you can't afford to live on what you make, you need to cut back.

I'm trying to understand from your Q whether you intended the pun you created with a misspelling of "principle", or if you really think that tax opponents really don't like taxes only "on principal". I oppose most taxes on principle. I don't care whether they are taxes on interest, wages, sales -- or principal -- I'm against them all.
