I'm in a situation where i can't seem to trust anyone, I'm trying vigorously to ascertain the origins of my fear of trusting people, and it has a lot to do with my family, i feel though that once i figure out exactly why i can't trust people, i will be able to convince myself that things are different now and i can let people into my life and finally have a chance to succeed in some type of relationship.

Begin by trusting yourself. If you can't trust yourself, and accept yourself without judgment, you'll never be able to trust another. If you can trust, honor and believe in yourself, you will be able to trust others. Begin with yourself.

Like the ad says: Just do it. You decide to trust new people and situations until and unless you are given a reason not to. You can limit how damaging a trust mistake could be to you by choosing carefully who you trust and what you trust them with. In the end though, you just have to take the plunge and hope for the best.
