Which is better for the environment: flushing toilet paper down the toilet or throwing it in the garbage? Or does it even matter?

Toilet tissue is made to breakdown in water. Anyone who throws toilet tissue in the trash is one nasty human being. It will sit and any and all bacteria that was present in the feces will be present in the area for the next person to come in contact with. Mr Bill

i flush it down the toilet, i wouldnt want to smell it all the time
