Have you ever witnessed somone recieving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues?

I have seen people speaking in tongues. Although I believe in the manifestation, I am not satisfied that all people who claim to speak in tongues actually do. Sometimes it is just ecstasy (not the drug...). I don't speak in the "tongues of angels". My husband does, but only privately. My gift is being able to pick up the tongues of men very easily. I only have to be around people a short time and I am picking up their language. I can speak 4 and have some skills in another 5 or 6.

Yes, I dont understand it but I've seen it before. But I beleive that while there may be people who are really true and really recieving this language, theres just as much, if not more, who just enjoy speaking gibberish while crying and seeming as if its some spirit or something.

Many times both in the USA and Mexico...I am not sure that all I hear is tongues but a joyful noise. There is also groaning in the spirit. (John 11:33) and groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). I personally have several different languages in tongues. My languages have always been very specific words. There have been many times I have groaned and rare times such agonies were beyond groaning as well.

I'm not sure I've seen my sister hopping around flopping on the ground making hideous noises...she and her congregation called it tongues. I called it foolish and embarrassing.
