  • are those called privet schools?
  • Virtually all children entering kindergarten and first grade want to learn. Finding out and changing what happens to them from that point on that causes them to change and become apathetic or rebellious to learning is what needs to be supported-financially and politically.
  • No. Not even. No way. What I would support would be public schools that would expel lazy, shiftless troublemakers. Or, better, special schools for the Yahoos who don't want to learn, say on the model of boot-camp schools.
  • If this were to happen, all we'd need for the whole country is one of those old fashioned single room schoolhouses. Even then it would best be half filled. Actually, everybody wants to learn, it's human nature. Just not everybody want to learn the meaningless nonsense that has nothing to do with anything that abuot 85% of the public school educational system has as part of their curriculum.
  • I think fundamnetally ALL children want to learn. It's their environment at home, lack of good suuplies for schools, bureacracy and improper training for teachers teaching outdated curriculums as well as an inability for school systems to look at modern technology as a teaching aid and teachers far behind the kids in the knowledge of this technology that make kids into adults with 4th grade readin levels. I think we need to set the bar higher for ALL schools and everyone should be entitled to the same wonderful education. It shouldn't be delegated only to "special" schools that only the rich can afford. That just leads to even more classism than we already have!
  • No, They should have a schools for all students, they do have private schools, if they want to pay for it, Why should everyone have to pay for a few exceptional students, because their parents think they should be isolated from "normal" people?
  • That is very subjective. How would you determine who wanted to learn and who didn't? It sounds like another way for government to get an even BIGGER hold on our schools. I can also see lawsuits because I can guarantee there would be higher numbers of certain races who were "determined" as not wanting to learn. We as a society are charged with teaching everyone. Even if some students don't want or have the ability to learn at a higher level, they have to be trained to make a living and support themselves. We have enough people on welfare in this country.
  • You already do, It's called the Public School System that is the intent, the practice is a baby sitting job for unparented children while mommy and daddy are off doing what ever to survive and make others rich while there children pay the price of their absence, this is of course IF the parents are truly Parents, there are those that have a level of unwanted children that get dumped into the system as well and of course there is no vested interest in changing it as there would be no money in it ... -- much more profitable to have conflict rather than continuity of principles -- ~Nemo~
  • Please ignore.
  • Hmm, i dont know. I dont think so. I think we should focus on how to inspire children to want to learn.
  • Seriously? Are you kidding? Of course I would. That would mean these kids were raised well by their parents..they value learning and they would be excellent students. The time invested to teach them would be well rewarded. Where are these children?
  • support schools, special ed people aren't all bad. Besides donating to the comunity is good. Be a cristian! Jesus would donate so should U!
