  • Yes, indeed. I was in the navy for 20 years, and darned proud of my uniform and what it represented!
  • I was a cook and eventually a Chef. I wore uniforms. I LOVED them! My uniforms were practical, easily identified and I had a change of clothes for every day I worked. I had 14 cooks' and 14 Chef's uniforms. My cook's uniforms consisted of: White pants, Double-breasted white cook's coat. White apron Black work shoes. (I had 3 pairs) A paper hat with mesh top. In the warmer weather, I wore a neckerchief. My Chef's uniform consisted of. Black and white, small-checked pants. OR black pants Double-breasted white cook's coat. When I was working in the kitchen, a white apron Black work shoes. (I had 3 pairs) A white, tall, cloth, starched Chef's hat. (I had 4 of these) In the warmer weather, I wore a neckerchief. When I went into the dining room to speak with the customers, everything looked like it was just pressed and came from the cleaners and laundry. In the business world, my "uniform" was one of my suits or a sport jacket, dress shirt and tie. I had a few pairs of shoes. When I was in the air freight business my uniform consisted of black shirt, black pants and black shoes. I wore black clothes to hide the dirt and dust from the various shipping facilities and warehouses I went to as well as when the truck broke-down, I didn't have to worry about grease and motor fluids on my "street" clothes. Eventually, the companies I worked for rented uniforms for their drivers. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! • I love it.
  • Yes, as room service for a 5 star hotel. It was awful because the clothes never seemed to fit.
  • Yep and an apron on some other jobs. Mostly I'd wear street cloths with steel toed boots. Sure I did not like the jobs where I had to wear a uniform because often they were not comfortable. I'd always run into trouble when I would need a new pair of pants.
  • yes, i have to wear one to work now. i work at a chevy dealership and its majority MEN. the polo shirts they force us to wear are MEN sizes and i'm the only female here. The shirts are nice but the size is not sexy at all :-( i hate it!

  • Yes and I still have the green vest with the big red numbers 7 and 11 on it.
  • Yes, some I disliked some I hated, some I was proud of. The chicken uniform was a lot of fun. Santa Clause started out cool and ended...well let’s just say it ended. Yogi was pretty cool except for the mid-summer months and the Chippendales outfit was pretty comfortable.
  • I wear scrubs to work. I love wearing scrubs because they are easy to launder and I feel like I'm working in pajamas.

  • No. I would never work there. I have talked to some people who worked as live-in maid/nanny girls when they were young girls in their late teens/early 20's and one of the things they disliked the most were the uniforms (like blouses and skirts, aprons and high-healed shoes) the employers required the girls to wear.
  • Yes. i work at the restaraunt Dogs Sports bar -n- Grill and we have the cutest uniforms. Since it's a sports bar we are the 'referees' so we wear referee tank tops with black cheerleading shorts, [soffes] and sneakers. the only thing that gets annoying is the stupid panty hose. [but you get used to them] Oh! and i get a whistle too =P
  • Loved it. I have worked often in the service industry, and prefer to wear out their clothes instead of mine.
  • Yes, in the past, but not now. I didn't mind it at all.
