something blunt if you don't want to kill them, you could take out a knee cap or something and run but if you wanna kill them i would use a knife

a sword, preferably a katana as it is long but not overly heavy. i have a pair of claymore swords in the house, one in the basement and one in the bedroom, a rapier in the storage room, a pair of "fake" swords (made from swordfish swords) hanging in the stairwell, and a hunting-knife on my desk. Well, it depends on my prep time and the surroundings. I'm also assuming weapon-use legality is a non-issue here. ;) My best weapon is the longsword, which I study and teach. well...it depends on the setting..if we were in a closed space, with not much manuvering room, and a low cieling, then i would use a whip, (seen as how ive mastered the whip in weaponry), but if it was an open area, outdoors, id pick up a thick, sturdy stick, similar to a bow staff, and use that (i also mastered with those too), but if i was in a bar scene, id break a bottle, and go for the juggular...

I could choose from the 2 spears ive made, a staff, 10 knives, mace with nails, club or blowgun i made. For long range i would go with the blowgun. For medium range id go with the spear. For close range id go with the dagger i have

Assuming this is the sort of question that disregards any legal implications. I think a pair of Butterfly Swords, they are the most versatile and technique balanced of any traditional weapon.

The weapon of choice would no doubt depend on the setting, the attacker and what the attacker was armed with. If we are limited to what is in close proximity, probably my hands and feet. I'm pretty comfortable with them and I don't regularly carry any other weapons.
