What does answerbag do about people rating answers negatively just for the sake of it? Are you watching them?

AB in general is just a website. AB staff can't do anything about DRing. it's usually done by childish immature trolls or u may have what I call an "admirer" who is targeting you. Some people just DR anyone who differs in opinion from them. Never fear for every DR er there is usually 2-3 posi trollers right behind them screwing up their hard work.

Other users who have been downrated will get back and retailiate. If someone doesn't like your answer or opinion, others users will downrate you. If a user feels offended by a comment or answer, the user downrates. AB won't do anything about it. Many people do watch other users. Many users complain about the downrating. They should get over it. It's common in this site. Am I watching them? Yes and No. It is because the downrating are from anonymous people. It can anybody.

They don't do much, but if you ARE being trolled (We,re not talking two or three -5's, but a whole trolley of them.) you can report this, and they will take acting, apparently. Otherwise though, it's teh Wild West or so it seems, and no, I don't watch it.

If the staff can actually figure out who is doing it (somehow), they get PBed for whatever amount of time. I got it for a week, after admitting to doing it, and I downrated hundreds of answers in a short amount of time for no reason, so I think a week is the limit, unless you do it more than once.

People down rating for the sake of down rating are referred to as "Trolls". Trolls if caught maybe penalized by the AB staff.

If you think that many of your answers have been abusively downrated, you could take action by doing a feedback to the staff. They have the possibility to check this and find out who it is. Users doing this regularly could have their account suspended ("Penalty box") or suppressed. Alternatively, you could ask a friend in a comment to help you by checking your answers and giving you some points back on those, if they agree that you have been abusively downrated. Consider that some people could also have their own valid reasons to downrate, which you would not understand (because they often don't comment their downrates for fear of retaliation).
