I'm not sure what "female" has to do with anything, but reporters in general (male and female) ask what SEEM like stupid questions because they've developed their story / interview prior to the taping and so they ask obvious questions (to get informative answers for anybody in the public that may not catch on as quickly) and already rehearsed questions that seem stupid because of the rehearsed answer by the interviewee. Perhaps you've already seen/read the story before too, which makes the question(s) sound stupid because you already know the answers... Either way, you know how to use the mute button or change the channel, right?

All news reporters ask stupid questions, and there exist female news reporters.

Sometimes the male news editors tell them which questions to ask. The editor's bias can result in the female reporters being tasked with asking the 'stupid' questions. Not all reporters are allowed to ask their own questions.
