Tourists do go to Pakistan:
"Tourism is a growing industry in Pakistan... The variety of attractions range from the ruins of ancient civilizations such as Mohenjo-daro, Harappa and Taxila, to the Himalayan hill stations, which attract those interested in field and winter sports. Pakistan is home to several mountain peaks over 7000m, which attracts adventurers and mountaineers from around the world, especially K2"

However, tourists are indeed warned of the great risks of visiting Pakistan these days:
Travel Warning: Dangerous Destination
Following the resignation of Pervez Musharraf after nine years as president, Pakistan enters a period of political uncertainty and the potential for unrest remains high. Travellers should continue to monitor news reports and exercise great caution. The country's north-west is particularly dangerous at present, with suicide bombings a regular occurrence.
