Wow! very good question. I can't find this anywhere online, but a long time ago, Gilda Radner of SNL plays a little girl named lisa who's boyfriend is Todd, played by Bill Murphy. She's on stage at a piano recital singing "The Way We Were". During her recital she begins to weep and stops the song to explain to the audience the events in the movie "The Way We Were" that are causing her to cry. At this point the SNL studio audience is laughing and it is just a silly skit. But it soon turns as she restarts the song and tell them to join in at the vamp. The entire SNL audience, NOW begins singing along with her and crying (really) crying. And of course, you can't help but to cry as well. . I'm sorry I can't find the footage online for you to view.
