Though a plan against Obama's life was implemented (it was stopped in time), most commonly, a few dozen white supremecists will throw short-lived tantrums and then become the pitiful nuisances they've always been. I don't see or sense any significant reason to believe there is high probability of a second Civil War.

No, not specifically. I can see where he would declare Marshall Law and postpone any additional elections until the financial crisis is over. His obsession with disarming the American citizens would aggravate the problem.

Civil war means a war within the country ..... Obama could possibly cause one if he tried to disarm the entire country. Outside of that, the only think I can think of that would cause internal war would be if someone harmed him while in office. That is a scenario I absolutely dread, because I am certain that riots, and possibly civil war, would happen immediately.

No chance. Everyone's getting on their respective high horses because he's mixed-race, but the furore will soon die down when we all get used to and accept that fact and just get on with our lives. The colour of his skin is a nine-day wonder, and we will soon realise that his policies have nothing to do with his ethnicity. As for disarming the American public - a bloody good idea!

Yeah, when the rich welfare beggars of bankrupt corporations get sick of not having bonuses (max income $500 grand per year for sending a company down the gurgler boo hoo hoo) , they'll do anything they can to get rid of him. You're not one of them blokes who flew a corporate jet to the White House to ask for a handout by any chance, are you? =P
