  • Yes, looks like that's going to happen. Islam is the fastest growing religion, and while some Christian countries stop caring about religion, Islamic countries are based on religion. Altough my prediction is that people are going to wake up, and atheism will become the norm. So Islam and Christianity will become less common. This shoulda happened 1858, but for some reason people just can't shake off their bronze age stories...
  • In the Qur'an it states that all people of the book, if they truly believe in one true God will have their chance at heaven. I don't think it will really matter since we all get judged and we all see what it's like on the other side. I hope that more people can become peaceful regardless of what they follow and then with peace can come education and learning which might push more people towards religion :)
  • Well it depends on how you define those terms. If you regard Islam as being submission to the will of God, then you'll see from the Gospels that it is what Jesus taught in his life time. So if you truly follow Jesus you'll be following Islam anyway. If you study the other books of the NT objectively you'll see that Paul was keen to open out Christianity to the Gentiles and, seeing the law as a great obstacle, abolished it in one stroke. He brought in the idea that every human being is born with the original sin, which Adam and Eve committed, and that God sent Jesus, an innocent being, to death so that all could be free of this sin. If one then studies history he can see that the Romans developed Paul's teachings by bolting onto them the ideas of the trinity to further increase the appeal of the religion to those who worshipped Mithra and the sun gods. The righteous person that Paul claimed had died to free humanity (from a sin that humanity had not committed in the first place) now became a literal son, a literally begotten son and the only son of God. Some Christians who realise all this become disenchanted with Christianity and abandon it for other faiths. A critical look at some parts of the OT coupled with an insistence by Christianity that every bit IS God’s word doesn’t help either. It spoils it further for all Theistic religions. The atrocities that God is portrayed as commanding in these passages gives people a reasonable excuse for calling Him "a monster" and turning many into confirmed Atheists.
  • I dearly hope not. The very muslim doctrine in their book Qur'an states the infidels must die, they are looking for war, if things come out good the other religions will extinguish them, but things never work out that well...
  • I don't know about the world as a whole, but I know that definitely won't be the case in the US. Studies right now show that Islam will lose its #3 spot to Wicca in 2012 - putting yet another religion in between them and Christianity.
  • With the way they are breeding, yes this is possible, just imagine what the world would be like by then? Scary!
