Do you have any first names that have unpleasant asociations in your mind for whatever reason, and will automaticaly bias you againts a person from the outset for the sole reason of them having that name?

i don't know about bias against the person, but I probably won't think a Hazel, Bertha or Edith will be attractive if i haven't met them first.

Growing up, I knew 3 people named Sarah that I didn't not get along with. To this day, I don't care for the name. The problem is, my wife really likes the name and wanted to name a daughter Sarah if we have a girl down the road. I don't think I am bias toward anyone with the name though.

Someone named Elsie would cause me to feel abit uncomfortable until I knew she was OK, because when I grew our baby sitter was named Elsie and she was a real shrew. She spanked us and yelled alot. My parents never believed us til they came home early one time, and I still had red marks on my butt and legs from her spanking me so hard. She got fired. I wish my father or mother had flipped her over and given HER a few really hard swats!

I've had bad experiences with the names Jack, and Aaron on multipul occasions.

Jessica- I have always had bad experiences with Jessica's. Aged 3 I got in a fight with a Jessica, and ever since not really liked them. Dave- My sister has dated for a long time (3 years each) 2 Daves who both ended up hurting her in the end. Plus, when people try to set me up on dates (I swear that shouldn't happen til I am at least 35) the guy always seems to be called Dave, and I always say no because a)I don't want some perverted 15 year old as a boyfriend b) they are called Dave Mark-Mark is my dad's name, and you say that to me, I automatically think short, fat, balding closet transvestite. Bobby- Bobby to me is a name where they seem sweet and loving and nice, and its all a lie. I mean, I have nothing against Roberts, Bobs, Robs, Robby's, Berty's or Burts, just Bobby It's terrible, I know. I have more! I even have stupid preconceptions about my own name! BTW no offence intended to any Jessica, Dave, Mark or Bobby on this site that is called that

Constance, Warren, Ted, Hilliary(not because of H.Clinton), just a few names that dont agree with me for some reason, I dont know why.
