    Nobody should be punished for something they did truly unwittingly. People should only be punished for things which you could, and should, have chosen not to do.

    I don't even think they should be convicted in the first place...

    No..but I do not believe they should be set free to do it again either. If they commit a serious crime like murder or rape etc..then they should then be placed in an institution.

    No. If capital punishment is truly about justice and not revenge, then it should be reserved for people who understand why they are being punished for what they did.
