  • Hit Control and T
  • You can hit <ctrl> T, you can double click on that bar next to the tab, you can hold <ctrl> and hit a link, you can click the link with your middle mouse button. A bunch of ways.
  • In addition to what the other folks said, upper left hand corner of screen, left click on file and then "new tab."
  • If you have a middle mouse button (or scroll wheel you can push down) use it to click on a link and this will open it in the new tab
  • Also, if you have a web/home button on your keyboard, pressing it will open a new tab. (I JUST figured it out) In firefox 2 it will open a new window. pressing this button can also open Firefox if it is set as your default browser. You can do this by going to Tools > Options > Advanced Under 'System Defaults' it will say "Always check to see if Firefox is your default browser" make sure the box beside it isnt checked and click 'Check Now'. If it isn't then Firefox will ask if you want to set it as the default, click yes. If it already is it will say "Firefox is already your default browser"

  • I use firefox all the time, it has a tab button which I just click to open a tab. It is next to the url search box on the left, looks like a little folder with a green + sign. When wanting a link to open in a new tab I just use the wheel on my mouse to click it.
  • File Menu > New Tab
  • Go to the View menu and select Toolbars... Navigation Toolbar. Whenever you want a new tab just double-click on a blank area to the right of an existing tab. To open a link in a new tab right click on the link and select 'Open link in new tab'.
  • Ctrl-T OR File --> New Tab OR Hit the "New tab" button on the toolbar OR Click a link with the middle button/wheel of your mouse OR Right-click a link and select "Open link in new tab"
  • Press the mouse wheel (mouse 3) on a link and it opens it in a new tab.
