  • Whether a christian or not should not play into the hate mode. One should always love another but you do not have to like them for what they do or how they act. It has nothing to do with christian beliefs and christians at times believe that they are the only people who can forgive and have compassion. mr Bill
  • Joining a cult, no question. A cult damages its members psychologically, financially, and sometimes, physically. On the other hand, if he's gay, that means he's come to terms with who he is. He's true to himself.
  • A cult definitely. Cults prey upon brainwashing, punishment and abuse, no shortage of mass suicides, or physical injuries self-afflicted or administered. One is only a part of your child's life that allows you to be more included and expands your family. The Cults generally operate in the exactly opposite direction trying to sever all ties and split a family as far away as possible. Never ever allow religion or anyone, or anything to take you to a place where the meaning of your love, or your capacity to love is in question.
  • Im a Christian and I dont like how others show such hate. I dont care if someone is gay, apparently that is God who cares. And even if I had something against gays, or any group of people for that matter, Jesus said to love your enemies. Show them compassion.
  • Well, as usual, semantics comes into play here. People tend to misuse the term “cult,” these days, but {{consults his Dictionary widget}} a “cult” is simply “a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.” By that definition, all of Christianity is a cult, since we direct our religious veneration and devotion towards our Lord and Savior, Jesus of Nazareth. So being in a cult isn’t *necessarily* a bad thing. *However…* If we were to use the colloquial definition of the word “cult”—that is, a group like the Branch Davidians or Heaven’s Gate that brainwashing its members into submission—then I’d have to go with the homosexuality. Either of these two is obviously sinful, addictive, and within the power of Christ’s grace to overcome. Thus, I’d probably have to go with the homosexuality, since brainwashes cult tend to cut off their members’ contact with family and would thus take my son away from me completely (not to mention that I could no longer be an influence in his life). And no, I wouldn’t hate him, either way. :-)
