Why do we use the word "emo" to label people?

emo is just a shortened version of the word EMOtional, and is used to label someone who is like a goth.

Emo comes from a sortened version of emotion or emotional refering to a style of music in which the words have significant meaning to both the author and the listener. It is music that is supposed to strike emotion. Enter societies distortion. Emo then got turned into a style of music where the singer is whining about how life suck and all that garbage. Enter societies distortion again. Now we start labeling people. People who seemingly dress in a gothic style with tighter pants. People who are sensitive and have strong femininity. However, there is a point where people take themselves and their images far to seriously and thats basically what emo has come to mean.

Well you see emo is an acrynim. It stands for E- Eggo Waffles M- Might Be O- Outside Which is very sad, because i want the syruppy goodness of eggo waffles in the morning, however i dont want to go outside. So you see EMO is a sad term. Now, your second half is interesting. Why do we use it to label people? well you see, there are some people called sadomasichist who enjoy pain. So every day the would sit in thier kitchens and look ouside at the eggo waffles. Until one day, they got so hungry they went out and ate the waffles, but they were angry at themselves so they became sad. So essentially, the "Emo" kids are the depressed sadomasichist's, because they ate the waffles. =)
