  • A true Christian church does not add to the Bible or take away from It. Catholics add a lot of extra biblical stuff, and while most of it is harmless, it has lead to more religion and less relationship with Christ. Mormons add a whole book to the Bible and secretly codone polygamy. Independent Fundamental Baptists are as pure as they come, in my opinion. There is plenty of straight Bible preaching and no fudging of the details!
  • Is there a true church? Every church I have checked so far has had a person who founded it and set it up according to what they wanted. Thousands of churchs all claiming to be the true church. Mot logical.
  • Simple. Go to a variety of churches, a new one a week for a while. Make a short list of the ones you liked the best, and attend them more. See which one best fits what it is you are looking for, and your quest will be completed. Also, talking to the Pastor of the churches about their theology and such will also help you in your quest. They will be more then happy to aid you in your search.
  • Yes, that can be a puzzle. I guess it is whatever appeals to you... but as for me, I prefer those who stick with what Jesus himself was preaching. It is surprising how far away some have drifted from his words. If you want to understand what Jesus himself was teaching, read this: http://gospelenigma.com
  • My grandmothers church was the most Christian one I've ever been to. They were Baptist, but had spiritual speakers from many different religions that attended and were welcome. I think that a true Christian church doesn't have to yell out that they're a true christian church. People just know.
  • Most churches that follow the Nicene Creed can be considered as true Christian churches. But if you want a right relationship with Jesus, you need to surrender your will to that of God himself. Not the church, not the pastor. The Bride of Christ is not a formal church. It's a collection of PEOPLE who have dedicated themselves to doing His Will.
  • With lots and ltos of seraching. Make sure that the church isnt doing its own thing and then poutting Gods name on it. Read the bible and just comapre what the church says to it (some try to manipulate its words to fit their way). Go for a church that seems to be "spirtual" but not showy. Showy churches usually hold up a facade. Talk to your friends. Poeple in the area. Go to a church youre cmfortable in. I prefer churches that have lots of voluneteering avaibale and that help the community. You can almost judge the church as if youre judging a person. If the "person"/church makes you feel uncomfortable or seems fake it probably isnt the right one for you. Vist the church for a wfew weeks to get a good feel of it. Try sitting in on a few meetings/clubs. Talk to the people in the church too.
  • The solution is in the Bible, to which all Christians look for guidance: James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. - We recommend that all men and women seek help to answer that question at the source of all knowledge. You have before you the invitation and the promise direct from God.
  • READ the WORD, John 1:1-3...i just want to add this...the true church is Jesus HIMSELF, HE is the HEAD, no man is...we join HIM, not a denomination , building, or group of any sort...HIM...ONLY HE can "add" us to HIM, and ONLY HE can "take us away"....Read...it is not about choosing a right place to worship...there is gonna be "corruption" , maybe just 1 or 2, in every "building "....thats why God told the Isralelites ,HE does not live in a TEMPLE...Heaven is HIS HOME....
  • Find a church you are interested in look up the founder and go from there.
  • Do some church shopping in your area. Try Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities. Which one does God's love shine most brightly in?
