Help answer this question below.

Who do you talk to when your ex lawyer defends your husband in a divorce?you say its a conflict of interest to him. and he say no i can do it. i then asked my court appointed lawyer and he says its okay. last week a lawyer told me they are wrong help me?

    as for my answer i was told in the court house the other day that my current husbands lawyer said to him sorry i dont know what i was thinking icant defend you because in the past i represented your wife by law i cant cross examine her isaid it didnt stop bob he said im sure icant but let me ask the judge. he says no so they gave my husband a new lawye. he then said i know things about you that most dont so w/ the info i have by law he defend anyone that he has any to do w/ me what do i do i had to agree 2my whole divorce w/he wanted or he could of gave the judge things put me thru the ringer iwas litterly devestaed this even happened my lawyer didnt even fight for me

    Call the bar association of your state. They may not take it as lightly as the other professionals. Conflicts are defined differently in different states. However, if you ARE right, then the bar association WILL help you to take action to file an ethical or bar complaint.

    It's very difficult when different lawyers tell you the opposite things. If I was you, I would ask the one who agrees with you to be your lawyer, or tell you where you can find the correct information to show your current lawyer.

    Keep in mind, that any business person (lawyer or not) will tell you things that you want to hear just to get your business. Word of mouth is worth very little in a court of law.
