  • Believe it or not.... I am a member of a secret society that I was invited into as a teenager, and was worshipped as some sort of Messiah (similar to the Kwisatz Haderach) by the founding members. One of them kept a safe in his house that was stocked full of my favorite soda and candy (Moxie and red licorice whips) as a sort of shrine. It is my destiny to someday defeat all of the world's most evil beings, and then pilot the starship that will transport all of the surviving members of the secret society back to our home planet. I know, it doesn't make any sense... don't worry about it.
  • There is nothing that remarkable about me. I am just your average, everyday good person :)
  • I have two "BION's"- Believe It OR Not! The Worst day of my life :-( AND THE BEST day of my life :-) :-)! WORST DAY: In June, 2001, the day I died twice on the operating table. I didn't find-out about that until about 2 months later. THE BEST DAY: 23 years earlier, 1978: The Day I saw & Spoke with God MY ANSWER: When I was a younger man, I used to jog around a high school track - the usual size - 1/4 mile around the oval. Because it was summer, the track was in an open field with no obstructions - not even bleachers or stands. The view was an easy 1/2 mile across the entire athletic field - in three directions. The high school was behind me and so was the parking lot where I parked the car. Just like every morning I had my car key on a chain around my neck. I never could stand the flopping key on a chain or the racket it made while I was jogging. I took off the chain and put it under a clump of grass. On this particular morning I jogged 6 miles - 24 times around that track. It took about 90 minutes. I went over to where I thought I took off the key and couldn't find it. I looked at the clock in the car. It was about 6:30 AM. Frantically, I pulled up clump after clump of grass - without any results. In despair, I got down on my knees and interlocked the fingers on my hands and started praying: "God, if there is a God, I need your help and I need it NOW! I can't find the key to my car and I have to be in West Chester by 8 AM." As I was praying, somehow my eyes and head faced the sky. As I finished my prayer, I lowered my head and opened my eyes. Across that wide expanse of field I saw "a man" walking toward me. What was he doing and what did he have? He was "sweeping" the field looking for metal objects - with a metal detector! I ran in His direction and as I approached Him, I said, "Mister, I lost my key and I just can't find it. Do you think you could please find it for me?" In an absolutely soothing and very assuring voice, He answered, "Sure, son. I'll do my best." When I spoke to Him, here's what I noticed: A] He wore a HUGE Panama hat or straw hat - the kind with the ends of the reeds sticking out in every direction.. B] He appeared to be in His 70s, but he had the face of a much younger man - a man in his 40s or 50s. C] Without a doubt, He had THE bluest eyes I ever saw of anyone in my life. To this day - over 30 years later - no one even comes close to having those radiant blue eyes. D] He had THE whitest tee shirt I ever saw. It looked like it was JUST taken out of the package and put on for the first time. E] Over His heart was a triangular-shaped, vivid, bright green "stain" F] He had light brown khaki pants on - nothing spectacular. G] He had white sneakers. Nothing different about those either. I kind of led Him over to where I "thought" I put my chain. He kind of went off in an angle - slightly to the right of where I was "leading" Him. He passed the metal detector once. Nothing. He took a couple steps. He passed it again. We heard a short beep. He passed it a third time and the metal detector very loudly sounded a steady BEEEEEP. I reached down, and picked-up my chain. It was about a full 10 to 15 feet from where I thought it was. I thanked Him once. He nodded. I turned took a few steps, turned and thanked Him again. He nodded. I took about 10 steps toward my car, turned AND started to shout and thank Him again. BUT He was totally gone! I looked in every direction across that vast flat field. Not a sign of Him! I got in the car, turned on the ignition, looked at the clock. It was about 7:10 AM. I KNEW I was going to be late for work. I got home and called the store. No answer. It was 7:20. I got in the shower and did everything I was supposed to do to get ready for my day. I left the house about 7:45. It's an easy 35 minutes to 50 minutes to get from the house to the store in West Chester, PA - about 18 miles of basically second and third rate roads. I got to the store at 7:55 AM. - ONLY 10 minutes after I left the house AND 5 minutes before the store was supposed to open! I WAS totally amazed and shaken! The first customer didn't come in until about 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM. I had plenty of time to open up the restaurant and get ready for the breakfast customers. AND I was ready! Everything was heated and up to temperature on the steam table. To this very day I KNOW I saw and spoke with God. I didn't speak with any angel, BUT with THE Man - God, Himself, helped me that day! AND NO ONE is ever going to tell me any different. God got me from that track to home. He got me ready for my day's work and to the restaurant in what I KNOW was a stoppage of time! When I tell this TRUE story, the hair on my arms and on the back of my neck stands on end. For one reason or another, the hairs are not doing it this evening. Why? Perhaps because this is THE FIRST time I committed the story to words on paper. So, I told you and the rest of the world about my meeting with God AND how He helped me on that summer day! Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Because you asked. A wonderful stroll down "Memory Lane"!
