  • Clobbered....from my tv education it appears that the ofender will come at me with some bulky object in hopes of knock me out or killing me completely. Never heard the term "cold-cocked"
  • Since this is outside-the-bag, I'm going to say that I'd rather get cold-cocked. Seriously, I'd rather be clobbered. The difference is that cold-cock means "to knock unconscious" while clobber means "to pound mercilessly" or "to hit hard." There are other definitions of clobber but these related to being cold-cocked. The relation is that you can be cold-cocked by being clobbered.
  • not sure, and I'm not really eager to find out...
  • Difficult to answer. "Cold-cocked" means to be knocked unconscious with a single blow. It usually means with a fist, but can mean by anything. You can be "clobbered", but still remain conscious,..even enough to clobber somebody back...and even cold-cock them......
  • I would rather be cold-cocked. Clobbering to me means to beat on me mercilessly. If I allow someone to do that, it would mean that my martial arts classes were a waste of time. Cold-cocked means to sucker-punch them (hit them when they are not expecting the blow), and although I'd be disappointed in myself for not being on-guard, I could forgive myself if someone just punched me all of a sudden. (Trust me, they'd better run away if they do this ...)
