Do you know anyone that began smoking as an adult, lets say over 25? Why do you think they did it?

No, I've never known anyone to start at it that late in life. That's usually around the time they first start trying to quit.

A guy who used to work w/ my husband didn't start smoking until he was about 35. Stupid, right? I think he wanted to 'fit in' with his co-workers who ALL smoked.

I never smoked cigarette's until i was 30,but i smoked dope from the age of 16 or 17 until i was 30!I don't know which is worst. I think it is somthing to do with keeping your hands busy.

my grandma recently started after never smoking a day in her life.... a friend recommended it to help with stress

My wife just recently started and she is 26. She knew about all of the health risks but her friend kept on bugging her to start and sure enough one night she did. Now she is smoking about a half a pack a day. Never thought I would see this out of her. The bad thing is she really seems to be enjoying it.

i tried my first cigarette at 24. not sure if that counts. why? curiosity.
