I've been a witness all my life and i've heard of the apostates upon silent lambs... If any type of abuse is KNOWN about upon others we will turn them in to the authorities simple and plain. Ive met 1 witness who committed this horendous act and they went to jail. So its not something we hide and cover up or that we protect Elders from going to jail...It doesn't matter who you are if you commit a crime you go to jail. So its gonna be a great day when Jehovah brings an end to those spreading lies and rumors about HIM....Because thats what it is your lying about him. No wonder you have no "answers". Also if this was such a "problem" like the catholic churches then why aren't we in the news and on every internet article? Just on some website where apostates cackle and spread lies.

Fact:Child Molestation is rampant and widespread in every facet of todays society,from our educational systems to our judicial/legal/law systems to our religious systems,etc.! One cannot escape it in ANY neighborhood,school,urban or rural setting,religious organization,etc.! The VAST MAJORITY of people DO NOT know how to respond when presented with accusations,allegations,or disclosures! It is a horrific reality to be faced with on any and every level! So much so,in fact,that most,to whom disclosure is made,will respond with denial at first! It is an assault to the senses and beliefs of anyone confronted with it! It is a fairly safe assumption to state that there are probably as many false accusations and allegations as there are true! Having said the above,I would NOT want to be the one charged with the responsiblity of determining the true from the false!It is,in most cases,a monumental task,an undertaking of such grand proportions that even those with years of experience,in investigating such accusations and allegations,are often left reeling with doubts and concerns as to the final outcomes and/or judgements! Whether one likes/agrees with it or not,the principle of establishing a legal matter at the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses IS a BIBLICAL principle!Deut.19:15 states;"One witness shall not rise up against a man for any eniquity,or for any sin,in any sin that he sinneth:at the mouth of two witnesses,or at the mouth of three witnesses,shall the matter be established."See also John 8:17 ; 2 Cor.13:1 ! Here are some personal issues that come into play with a disclosure,allegation of abuse;"This can't be happening/true!""How could I have NOT known?""I trusted him/her!""I couldn't even protect my own son/daughter!""What/who do I believe?" One often comes to feel quite inadequate,as if they failed as a parent,authority figure,etc.!They worry about how they're viewed by friends,family,the community,having not known,having been unaware of what was happening!They no longer feel FIT as a parent or authority figure charged with the care and protection of those in their care!And,as in all too many cases, fall short of handling/dealing with it effectively! Elders of Jehovah's Organization are NO LESS subject to the human frailties and weaknesses that govern the rest of us!Perhaps,like the rest of us,they panick and act ineffectively,especially when it comes to the reputation of what is viewed as God's earthly representative!I'm sure there are many cases which were handled ineffectually,as I'm sure there were many handled appropriately!In Canada,at least to my understanding,ANY allegation or accusation of abuse MUST be reported to the proper authorities-so be it!Let's just make sure we're ALL doing OUR PART and especially,in light of just how rampant abuse is nowadays,be all the more vigilant with whomever we entrust our children to!
