Do you bother to answer questions where the person asking answers it themselves? Or like me, do you see it as someone just asking a question in order to give their opinion?

Yep, I answer them. I just look at it as them wanting a discussion, or to see if the general opinion is similar to theirs. I, personally, answer all my own questions, to let everyone see that I won't ask a question that I wouldn't answer myself. I think that Answerbag is alot about opinions.

I'll answer just about any question if I like it, have an opinion about it or have something clever or amusing to say about it.

Why not?They are asking because they genuinely wish to know what you think at the same time they wish to share their opinion with you too hence they give an answer also.

If the question is intellectual in nature, I might have a problem with it. But if its an opinion and everyone can answer, I see no reason why a question cant be asked and posted separately to the askers own answer. Is that at all like what you just did? You asked an opinion question and gave an answer. If you already have an opinion, why ask? Could it be that youre curious to know what others think? And that you are willing to let them know what you think?
