Certainly; but I usually temper the inhibition with a simple reminder that gives me courage: I'll never have this same chance again and by tomorrow I may not be alive to say it or they might not be alive to hear it. Take advantage of the time you have.

all the time, i have to be very cautious, especially in my working life :(
-
All the time just about every day. I have learned to hold my tongue fairly well.

It happens a lot. It used to be paralyzing for me. I've since gotten over it somewhat, but I've let it get a bit out of hand to where I'll sometimes say things I should have censored, but don't think about it until it's already out. You can't unring the bell at that point.
-
Yeah, this has been happening more often lately.

I often want to say some things to some people but I don't..not because I fear getting judged..that is of no consequence since the "judger" is not in my brain and hasn't a clue what my intention is..he/she who judges is totally ignorable and irrelevant. I keep my mouth shut because I don't want to be unkind. Sometimes keeping your mouth shut is the only kindness you can offer someone..when you can, I think you should! :)
-
Once in a while. I usually will simply think of another way to phrase the question.

It depends on the situation. I agree that in being kind you may rephrase the comment, or lose the sarcasm, etc. But I have to think that you need to stand up for your basic human rights sometime, especially when it is putting you under an inhuman or unusual stress or conditions. If you are at work it is a little different, but there should be a grievence policy. And as far as getting judged, I think that everybody does not need to know my innermost feelings for them to be valid. I will share them with my closest friends to share my burden and also so they in kind can share their burden with me, and it makes us stronger and closer friends.

Only too often.

yes, my sexuality is a huge issue where I live so I choose to stay in the closet.
