The AB clubs seem a little juvenile to me.
-
If you are sick of them, just skip over and move on to the next q. I don't really know what all this sillyville is about to be honest.
-
I am afraid I still do not know what they are all about. There were no clubs before my break when i come back there are all these places talked about like small kiddytowns or cities.
-
I am... Sorry people. If everyone else loves it, I really don't mind :) But not for me.
-
It's silly to get sick over anything like that ; )
-
Probably Not;) But it is FUN;)!!!!
-
Ahh yes! Thank you, for finally bringing this up. The groups and 'villes' are awesome, but why all the freaking questions?
-
There are a lot of questions we are all sick of. Could I be pregnant? What pill is this? First thing that comes to mind. . .? Best thing to do is just ignore them. I only see it as a real problem when the site is flooded with a particular type of question at a given time. The Sillyville folks tend to keep it reasonable, so it's fine with me. Perhaps you've just seen a lot today and it's annoying you. There have been an awful lot all at once and I could do without that. No DR from me :)
-
No I think they are a fun way to blow off a little extra steam and relax...I can think of a few people on here who could use to let off a little steam...Lol!
-
some of the sillyville Q's are conversational and educational :D

As The President of Sillyville (no applause please):) Sillyville is alot more then a club to me, I don't know how other Sillyzens feel. It's a place I can goto that's not so serious, because there is enough negativity in The World. I can answer any question how I want, because there is never a wrong answer in Sillyville:):) Its just a place to chill out from all the negatives in life:) I am sure our questions are a bit annoying to some, maybe more:) We just like to make it a little more interesting here in Sillyville..we want a good laugh:):) We might annoy some people..we are sorry..but we will not stop laughing!!!:):)LOL:) Very Truely Yours The President of Sillyville:):):)LOL!! Great question BTW:)
-
Nah. I am... Its like an inside joke...that everyone knows about...but only the people who thought of it are amused. The rest just have to weed through all their questions to find something really interesting.
-
Excuse me. If you don't want to go to Sillyville to be a sillyzen, that's your choice. No one is going to grab you by the ear and ddddddrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggg you to Sillyville. Stay here with the real world. Very Truly Yours, Ron THE Official Spokesman of Sillyville.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Could I receive some enlightment?
-
I'm not even in sillyville but I enjoy the "club"... its like a little indian reservation no one cares about you know what, are you one of those people who write to the local newspaper editorials and ask them to stop printing news about the indian reservations cuz they make you sick? you make i sick >.<

Ever since the dawn of Sillyville and all of it's little spin off towns, I have had the desire to take someone's life. You are certainly not the only one.

If I ran this site, it would be legitimate questions and answers only, and all nonsense would be transferred to the NonsenseBag instead. But, I don't, and so I have to exercise my Power of Ignore a lot!
-
Hey Soupy, I don't mind them! ...but I'm guessing you guessed that - you just nonsensed one of my questions! :-D Dunno why that "advert" was nonsensed to be honest. We could have let the AB'ers decide. I reckon a lot of people would have done it for the points - and that is, after all, part of what AB is about. I'm also aware that part of the success of asking questions is doing it at the right time - using the advert allowed me to have a second crack of the whip as I felt that it was one of those questions that people tend to answer, like the one below - my 2nd highest answer rate - 25 answers. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/870813 which you can see is similar to this one: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/897478 You may think that 25 isn't a lot, and you may think that advertising the question is wrong, but a 62 pt question with 25 answers, I feel, shows that there is a relative level of interest from people on AB. I would have enjoyed the opportunity to let the public decide. HOWEVER - I can take your point, if everyone started advertising questions then the new questions would 20% new and 80% advert - worse than reading a magazine! ....or would it.... would it be better to have a greater focus on each question and allow the people who may have missed the first chance to answer a question they like another time.... WELL! WHO KNOWS! BUT ANYWAY - thanks for at least being honest and answering with your thoughts before the question was "nonsensed". I appreciate your opinion! ....a few points for you!
-
Some of the sillyville questions can be amusing. Most aren't. I don't know how it all started, so I really don't know why or how this has relevance to AB.
-
To be honest, I rarely see these questions you're referring to. I don't know...maybe it's because I am usually in "Unanswered Questions". Maybe if the ones you're speaking of are on the Homepage (I'm guessing) then why not try out the unanswered ones...none of the "silly" people will be there because they haven't yet been answered! Plus, there's over 3,000 pages just waitin' to be perused. Don't let others bring ya down...there's more than enough room in the bag for all of us! :)

Yes, for I am for them.
